Where are we?
On April 9th we have closed the application process.
We had over 50 submissions with many excellent ideas. From these, we chose 6 finalists which we felt were ready to make a Global Impact. The final count-down has started, since on the 4th of May, the bests of the bests will compete for the full scholarship to Singularity University worth of 30.000 USD. Not to mention the Autodesk software (worth of 10.000), which will be given to each of the finalists.
Finals
The best 6 applicants will present their projects on the 4th of May, in Budapest at the Global Impact Competition CEE&SEE. For those who haven’t made it this time
Do not be discouraged! You did a great job! Keep on working on your project or other ideas, because we plan to continue the competition next year and theirafter. About the Competition
Throughout history and across the globe, millions of lives have been improved by the innovative ideas of individuals from many different fields of expertise. Could yours be the next BIG idea? How can you improve the standard of living - health, education, and security - of 1 million people in the next 3 years in the CEE&SEE region through the use of technology?
The Prize:
A scholarship to the 2012 Graduate Studies Program at Singularity University in California worth $30,000. This 10-week interdisciplinary program brings together entrepreneurial leaders and top graduate and postgraduate students from around the globe to explore solutions aimed at solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges. The program takes place at NASA Ames Research Center in the heart of Silicon Valley.
The Concept presented needs to fulfill the following criteria:
- Must have the ability to improve the standard of living - health, education and security - of 1 million people in the next 3 years, in the CEE&SEE region through the use of technology!
- Must use Exponential Technologies
- Must be in one of the 6 problem areas: Education, Energy, Health, Prosperity, Security, Space
- Must have Scalable & Sustainable Economics
- Must have a Competitive Concept of Operations
