

The best project wins a scholarship – worth of 30.000 USD - to the Silicon Valley, USA
Google and NASA founded Singularity University brings one of its Global Impact competitions to East-Central Europe this May.
Winner of the Global Impact CEE competition will spend 2,5 months this summer at NASA Reseach Center in California, USA. Organizers expect talented and adventurous applicants from any country of the region.
Applicants may apply with general concepts, technical solutions and business ideas, that can improve lives or living conditions of at least 1 million people on the grand scheme.
For the first time, the unthinkable becomes reality: possibility to meet the fat cats of Silicon Valley, such as Steve Wozniak, Larry Page or Salim Ismail, gets within reach for the most talented youths of the CEE region. Singularity University established by the think-tanks of Silicon Valley is located in NASA Research Center in California, USA. The university is a central destination for scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs and government officials, who want to learn about the latest innovations, exponentially developing technologies and trends like; 3D printing, alternative transportation (e.g. Tesla car) or even space technologies.
Those who meet the tough entrance requirements take part in an extremely intensive training, which includes demanding courses, trips to the biggest enterprises – e.g. Facebook, NASA, Google, Cisco - and visits to the most exciting garage-companies, as well as start-ups in the area.
During the courses, students work side-by-side with the biggest names of the Valley. By the end of the 2.5-month program they set up their own businesses, which can get funding from venture capitalists in the area.

For the first time, Singularity University ’delivers’ this opportunity by its Global Impact Central and Eastern Europe (Global Impact CEE) competition.
Talented students and entrepreneurs may apply with general concepts, technical solutions and business ideas, that can improve lives or living conditions of at least 1 million people.
Be it a simple, but impressive business solution or a complex technological innovation, the goal is to make a big impact, to be economical and innovative.
Winner of the competition will take part in the University’s graduate program this summer, which is worth of 30.000 USD. The prize covers all costs which include: travel(s), courses, lodging and meals.
In addition to this, the winner can choose and Autodesk software worth of 10.000 USD.
Applications are welcome from the 1st of March on the www.sucee.eu website, where detailed instructions and samples will help guide you through the application process. The deadline is April 2nd.
The best, maximum 10 finalists, will present their ideas on the Global Impact CEE Conference in front of Salim Ismail, former deputy-CEO of Yahoo.
The conference organized by AMCHAM will take place in Budapest, Hungary on the 4th of May.
